Of course you can, just let us know what your preferences are or if you would like to offer your expertise. Our volunteers get involved with all sorts of activities including joining our walking groups in the local community, board games, knitting groups, reading, reminiscence chats, gardening, baking, playing a musical instrument, driving the bus for social outings, or bringing in your pet for a regular visit. We want you to enjoy your volunteer experience so let us know how you would like to be contribute.
Absolutely. It’s your choice whether you volunteer as an individual or as part of a group. There are volunteering opportunities to suit both situations.
That’s completely up to you, any amount of time you can offer we value greatly. Should you wish to increase or decrease your volunteering hours we can happily renegotiate your commitment.
You don’t need experience to become a CraigCare volunteer – just a kind heart and enthusiasm.
Absolutely. Volunteers can access additional training as and when they need – for areas including dementia, safe movement, communication, and driver competency. Ongoing support will always be available to you.
Yes. All our volunteers are required to undergo a National Police History Check to ensure the safety of our residents, their families and our staff.
